Prohibition of misleading information

Using incorrect or incomplete information that may mislead buyers and users of construction products to believe that a construction product may be lawfully used in Norwegian Construction Works when it is not the case is unlawful.

 Specifying performances for construction products, which are different to or better than its actual performances, is also a clear instance of misleading marketing.

 Misleading marketing also includes less obvious instances in which, for example, small-scale testing with regard to the effects of fire is used in order to assess the risk of fire spreading in the event of a real fire.
